Dr Michael Batt
MBBS (Hons), Master of Psychiatry, FRANZCP, Cert. Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry
Michael is a Psychiatrist with particular interests in perinatal mental health, functional neurological disorders, and the emergence of psychotic and manic symptoms in young people. His work includes thorough psychiatric assessment and collaborative treatment planning, with an approach that considers the connection between physical and mental health difficulties. Michael also offers psychodynamic psychotherapy for individuals and couples therapy informed by the Gottman Method.
Dr Jenna Cheney
MBBS (Hons), Master of Psychiatry, FRANZCP, Cert. Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
Jenna is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with particular interests in infant, child, adolescent and youth mental health. Her work includes thorough developmental and psychiatric assessments, with a collaborative approach to developing clear formulations and individually tailored treatment plans. Jenna’s approach considers the broader family, academic and social contexts that shape a young person’s development, relationships and day-to-day functioning. Alongside assessment and treatment planning, Jenna offers medication management, longer-term individual therapy and parent therapy.
H0W DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?
Please email your referral to info@porterstreet.clinic for review by one of our psychiatrists. If your referral is accepted, our administration team will contact you to arrange an appointment.
If you would prefer to speak with us by phone at any stage of the process, please schedule a call via the online booking form and a member of our administration team will contact you.
DO I NEED A REFERRAL?
Yes. A referral addressed to the clinic is required before an appointment can be scheduled.
WHERE IS THE CLINIC L0CATED?
Our clinic is located on Porter Street in Prahran, approximately a four-minute walk from Prahran Station.
The nearest tram stops are Malvern Rd/Chapel St and Prahran Station/High St, providing convenient access via the Route 78 and Route 6 tram lines.
Detailed directions and arrival information will be provided once your appointment is confirmed.
IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE?
Complimentary two-hour parking is available for Porter Street patients at Prahran Square Car Park, located a short two-minute walk from the clinic.
Parking validation will be provided at your appointment. Presenting the validation ticket upon exit will waive the parking fee.
